Susan Stecklair has over twenty years of professional services experience emphasizing operational, IT, and financial improvements. Ms. Stecklair is President of Electronic Commerce, Inc., a professional consulting organization with unique methodologies for successfully navigating the integration of EDI and eCommerce within global, complex ERP organizations. She has undertaken collaborate programs with her clients’ strategic customers, banks, 3rd party logistics parties, carriers and suppliers.
Prior to founding the Electronic Commerce, Inc. consulting firm in 1993, Susan worked for Applied Materials in operational/ financial management roles during the global semiconductor equipment maker’s highest growth years. She also has managerial experience at Philips Semiconductors in IT and finance. Ms. Stecklair holds a M.B.A. in Finance, and Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
As a champion of best business practices, she has been co-founder of the Northern California eBiz Users Group, active in the national EIDX (Electronic Industry Data Exchange) Industry Group, Bay Area RosettaNet Deployment (BARD), and other eCommerce and business organizations. She is a renowned speaker at business and IT groups including COMPtia EIDX “Breakaway” Conference in Orlando, at several EDIFICE conferences in Europe, for the University of Michigan, Santa Clara University, and local business, university and IT organizations.
Susan Stecklair is also active in community and university associations. She has been rewarded a letter of recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives, recipient of the California State Assembly’s “Certificate of Recognition” and other awards for environmental efforts and leadership. She is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteering one-on-one with abused or neglected children. She is the treasurer for the local alumni association of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, and active in Women in Consulting. She also volunteers at the San Jose Repertory Theater and at the Flint Center of the Performing Arts and is especially fond of their "Celebrity Forum".
